Who We Are

Phyllis started Catering Thyme with one goal in mind – to help each client plan for their special occasion and to provide the quality catering to make it memorable and special.  She sought true professionals who have the experience and background needed to be successful.

Growing up in Georgia and spending her summers on her grandparents’ rural farm in Mt. Airy, Georgia, Phyllis dined on meals prepared on her grandmother’s wood stove ranging from the morning breakfast of biscuits, sausage and gravy, blackberry preserves, home churned butter and eggs straight from the hen house, to the lunches and dinners of soups, meats, fresh garden vegetables and of course, wonderful desserts. Experiencing the daily life on a farm, she learned the lessons of hard work and then enjoying the fruits of that labor; a philosophy she still applies to whatever she endeavors today.

She has experienced fine dining throughout her travels here and abroad.  Her concept is to remain true to her grandmother’s tradition of preparing meals for the enjoyment of others and to offer delicious menus with the modern day flair and presentation that clients expect today.  By hiring two Chefs, including a Pastry Chef, along with a catering coordinator experienced in event planning, this dream came to fruition.  We are happy to present Catering Thyme to you and hope you will consider us for your next event.
